Come tour RefleXion Medical, which has developed technology to identify and treats cancer without need for biopsies. RefleXion combines PET imaging and radiotherapy in a single machine, which leverages real-time imaging of cancer cells by their metabolic activity. This approach enables detection, analysis, and killing of multiple tumors in a single treatment.
RefleXion was co-founded by Samuel Mazin and MIT alumnus Akshay Nanduri (MBA ’09). They have received $63 million in funding from investors that include Johnson & Johnson Innovation, Sofinnova Partners and Pfizer Venture Investments and were also participated in MITCNC’s Venture Mentoring Service (VMS Bay Area).
