MITCNC Event
[Virtual Event] MIT Poetry? YES, MIT Poetry!
Apr 08 - Virtual Event

Since we can't convene a Poetry Slam, let's relax at home, maybe with a glass of wine, perhaps with fewer friends than the Dept of Public Health limit, and let’s share our favorite poems!

Share poems of humor, science, irreverence, engineering, love (of course), passion (maybe), the seasons, song lyrics, cowboy poetry, etc.

If you’d like to recite, let Harbo Jensen - harbo@alum.mit.edu know so he can put you on the list.

You will have 3 min for your recital

If you don't want to recite, just relax and listen.
Come brave friends, dig deep from within and without.
Stand at the edge with me! Jump from the height!
Speak of love, of a cause. Heal a nation! Emote!
If not now, when?
If not you, who?
Come, cry out in the night!
This will be MIT's finest hour of poetry.
We have not yet begun to recite!

In exchange for the value you receive from this event, we ask that you make a donation (in an amount of your choosing) to the MIT Covid-19 Response Funds.
