The Headlands Loop is a breathtaking 19-mile bike starting at Pier 41 and ending in Sausalito. It is a favorite among cyclists for its stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco. This classic mixed terrain loop just north of the city combines a ride across one of the most iconic bridges in the world with majestic views of the San Francisco Bay, Mount Tamalpais, and an ex-Cold War military base. The route takes riders through Aquatic Park, Fort Mason, Presidio Park, over the Golden Gate Bridge, up Hawk Hill, through the Headlands, with a quick detour at Rodeo Beach, before reaching beautiful Sausalito for a casual brunch. We will be returning to San Francisco via ferry (or ride back for those who want to log in extra miles).
