MITCNC Event
How to Inspire K-12 Students with Mathematics
Jun 17 - Peninsula

MIT Club of Northern California invites you to a 20-minute presentation by Grant Sanderson, author of 3 Blue 1 Brown, followed by a Math Festival hosted by the Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival and San Francisco Math Circle.

At the Math Festival, you’ll get to explore a variety of hands-on, play-based math puzzles and games. Each activity is designed to have a low floor so that anyone can find a way to engage and a high ceiling so that everyone can find a meaningful challenge. The Math Festival will have activities for children and adults of all ages.

After the Math Festival, there will be a panel and Q&A focusing on math resources for K-12 students in the Bay Area. The panel will be hosted by Grant Sanderson, Daniel Kline, Executive Director of the Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival, and David Klein, Director of San Francisco Math Circle.

Before you leave, you’ll learn about our free, online math resources and get to take home a free mini game kit. Everyone is welcome to join us for this night of fun and joyful math.
