We bring together MIT alums who are at the forefront of solving world’s most challenging problems through creative applications of technologies. There are many ways to get involved! Primary volunteer opportunities in Fall / Winter 2020 / 2021 include:
• Marketing: How can we send fewer emails overall? How can we focus more on getting people info on events that are particularly interesting to them? How can we analyze our progress and ensure we're serving the entire member base of alums?
• Social organizing: we have more ideas for informal online get-togethers than we have time to push forward. Feel free to bring ideas, but also just talk to us about what we're ready to do that just needs a little oomph from a volunteer.
• Detail-oriented polish for upcoming Future of Healthcare & Medicine Conference: This is a premier healthcare event, that usually happens during the JP Morgan annual healthcare conference in January and draws similar attendees. There is a vibrant team of about a dozen people working on this year's. Join them!
It's fun to work with any of the track leads:
• Wilson Pui Ho Tsang and Katharine Xiao on K-12 events;
• Teddy Lee on Tech events & conferences;
• Alekhya Reddy or Jessie Chen on events for Product Managers or Designers
• Jason Escamilla on Finance & FinTech events;
• Shannon Dahl, Afsana Akhtar, and Christian Ulstrup on Health & Life Sciences events & conferences
• Douglas Spreng and Larry Kelly on Energy & Environment
• Bruno Faviero and Anvisha Pai on Startups
We have also had new volunteers organize very successful events outside any of our established tracks.
