Dry Creek Winery Sonoma Masterclass with Dave Stare '62
Feb 26 - Virtual Event

Join us for a masterclass on wines from Sonoma County!

This is a great event for those who are interested in learning more about wine. No prior knowledge of wine is required!

Sonoma County, California is hailed as one of the premier wine-making areas in the world, producing a wide variety of styles across an array of diverse microclimates. In this event, we will learn about the region’s distinctive terroir and intrinsic characteristics while tasting exemplars from Dry Creek Vineyard, a winery founded by MIT alumnus Dave Stare (Class of 1962) and now run by his daughter, Kim Stare Wallace.

Dave and Kim together have nearly five decades of history in the wine business, from many pioneering “firsts” of 1972 to the present day where the second generation has taken the helm and brought the winery to new heights.

Over the course of the evening, Dave and Kim will lead us through a descriptive tasting of two of their signature wines, the Fumé Blanc (white) and The Mariner (red). Please see below for information about a tasting pack for this event.

For those who like to pair cheese with wine, the Fumé Blanc works well with a goat cheese and The Mariner goes very nicely with aged gouda!

MIT Alumni Wine Pack Details

Dry Creek Vineyard has created a special wine tasting two-pack of their Fumé Blanc and The Mariner for us. Due to cold temperatures over much of the country, the wine is sent using 2-day shipping.

The pack is available at the following link for $72.80:

This price includes 2-day shipping to all U.S. states except AK, HI, IN, NJ, and OH. If you need to ship to one of these exception states, please call Dry Creek at 800-964-9463 ext. 280 for personal assistance.

Please allow sufficient time for shipping between your order placement and the event. If you are concerned about whether your order would arrive in time, please contact Dry Creek at 800-964-9463 ext. 280 for personal assistance.

Dry Creek's wines are distributed nationally so you also may be able to find one or more of their bottlings at your favorite fine wine store. Use this online tool to find a retailer carrying Dry Creek's wines (please call the retailer to confirm the wine is in stock): Retail Locator
