First Generation Alumni of MIT, in leadership with MIT FLI students, is hosting a discussion for students and alumni on the intersection between racial and first generation identities.  To help engage in meaningful discussions, this conversation will be co-facilitated by Nina DeAgrela, Assistant Dean for Intercultural Engagement and Multicultural Programs at SPXCE and student leaders exploring our experiences and perceptions of being both first generation/low income and under-represented BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, Persons of Color).

We invite all members of the MIT community, especially those that self-identify as FLI (First Generation/Low Income), generally defined as those who first in their family to graduate from a U.S. four-year college and/or have little to no expected parent and student contribution as part of their financial aid package.
