Join with a small group of other MIT alumni to discuss Kate Zernike's controversial new book, The Exceptions. Zernike's narrative tells the story of a small group of women faculty who banded together in the 1990's to demonstrate inequity in the MIT School of Science. In the best tradition of scientists, they made their case based on careful measurement, as described in an excerpt published in Technology Review:
