AMITA Event: Women Entrepreneurs Panel
Have you ever considered starting a company or joining a start-up? How do you evaluate opportunities and decide when to take the plunge? How do you finance your startup? Come and learn from a panel of women that have started companies in a variety of industries and taken different paths to success. Our panel will be moderated by Sramana Mitra, Forbes columnist and author of "Bootstrapping: Weapon of Mass Reconstruction" and "Entrepreneur Journeys."
Sramana will be happy to sign copies of her books Bootstrapping: Weapon of Mass Reconstruction and Entrepreneur Journeys afterwards. Please purchase a book beforehand from Amazon.com and bring it with you.

Monthly Networking Lunches
Date: first and third Tuesday of each month

Description:
Speak to any successful businesswoman and they'll tell you networking is one of the most important things you can do for your career. With this in mind, we invite you to attend a monthly networking lunch around the Bay Area. No set topics, no work requirements, although job opportunities and tough work problems are welcome.
There is currently:
one in the Penninsula area on the first Tuesday of each month
one in the South Bay on the third Tuesday of each month
one in San Francisco on the third Tuesday of each month
We're looking for volunteers to organize lunches in the East Bay and Marin. If you would be willing to organize one in these areas, please contact Anh Thu Vo, avo "at" alum.mit.edu.
