The MIT Club of Northern California is run entirely by volunteer MIT alumni. The club organizes hundreds of events every year, serving approximately 8300 alumni in the Northern California area. Each year, the club publishes three newsletters; club members are also notified of upcoming events through a weekly email announcement. Since the Club does not receive funding from MIT, it is funded primarily from event fees, alumni donations and corporate sponsorships. Organization is led by a leadership team of over 20 alumni officers with a distinguished board of directors overseeing club operations.
